Our name No.1 Ladies Accordion Orchestra was inspired by the No.1 Ladies Detective Agency novels by Alexander McCall Smith. He was delighted with this and, despite jet lag, made it to one of our Edinburgh Concerts where he spoke to the audience. He has given signed copies of his books to all the Ladies of the orchestra which we really appreciate. We swap them around so we get to read them all.
